Hosea 13 – Are you kissing idols like Israel, without realizing it?

Hosea 13 is a gloomy section of condemning prophecy. But amidst this gloom is the hidden hint of promise. Israel offended through Baal worship. They’d stooped – to kissing idols. But Hosea reminds Israel. There is no Saviour – besides the Lord. God reminds Israel of their ancient history. God knew Israel, but Israel forgot God. Then Hosea speaks of the 4 beasts – of Daniel 7. & the coming wrath of God symbolized – by a woman in child birth. Hosea proclaims – somber words, of death & Sheol. That Paul in the New testament interprets with new & wonderful hope, in the light of Calvary.
