Genesis 22: 7-24
Genesis 22: 7-24 – The Binding of Isaac, prefiguring the Lamb of God. Both Isaac & Jesus were obedient to their father, were led to a certain hill outside Jerusalem, opened not their mouths to protest their sacrifice, carried their wooden burdens up the hill, were willing to lay down their life in obedience to their Fathers will. A substitute was provided by Jehovah Jireh, to save Isaac, but there was no substitute for Jesus, as He was our substitute.
