Genesis 30: 1-43

Genesis 30 – The 12 sons of Israel. God doesn’t comment in the previous chapter, about the wrongs of Polygamy. The festering fruit of that sin simply reveals itself in this chapter, envy, bitterness, strife, trouble, arousal to irrational anger. In that day, for a woman not to bare children for her husband, was considered a great shame & failure. Sarah was baren, Rebekah was baren, & now Rachel is baren. All 3 wives of the patriarch’s were baren, & had to call upon the Lord, & wait upon the Lord, for His miraculous intervention.

@ 5:28 I incorrectly state, that Reuben is now likely a teenager. He was not, according to the Biblical timelines (which I will detail in the coming weeks) Reuben is now only 5 or 6 when he finds the mandrakes.
