Exodus 10 – YHWH verse Ra (Egypt’s sun-god)

Israel had suffered 400 long years of enslavement in Egypt. In literal fulfillment of the prophecy God gave to Abraham in Gen 15. Israel were tested, so their personal testimony could be strong. They came to know the power of YHWH, as they lived through these incredible events. A rainbow comes, after a storm. The joy of new life comes, after the trauma of birth. Celebrating deliverance, only comes once the trouble is behind us. Our Christian walk is strengthened through the storms of life. That’s why God allows stormy times. Israel – in Exodus 10, are still slaves, but their redemption was near. The times of rejoicing were close. Pharaoh, Egypt, & Israel – will know, by personal experience – who YHWH is. The Omnipotent, covenant keeping, prophecy fulfilling, judging, supreme ruler, of all creation.
